NEW YORK -- Nashville Predators forward Rich Clune has been fined $1,452.70, the maximum allowed under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for boarding Colorado Avalanche forward Aaron Palushaj in NHL Game No. 221 in Colorado on Monday, February 18, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 12:32 of the first period. Clune was assessed a minor penalty for boarding.

"Today would have been the first payday for NHL players, who receive their paycheques on the 15th and last day of every month. Players are paid their NHL salaries based on how many days they are on the roster for that pay period."
