The Weather Channel, which is owned by NBC Universal among others, is like most other media outlets which rely on NOAA/NWS announcements anyway, so I just go straight to the source for no media hysteria.

It's looking more and more like we on the West Coast are going to be hammered, but this is such a large hurricane that most of our state will be impacted.
