Honestly doesn't seem that long ago that the boys captained by J-Willy clinched the spot for the first time since 2009. That was a fun night that led to a fun playoff run. I'm glad the franchise has kept this going.

Can never not be excited for nights like these, they aren't guaranteed.

The last time we had 6 or more playoff appearances in a row it was 1991. The league had 21 teams and the Whalers had a 26-42-13 record.

80 games, 65 points, and we made the playoffs. Anyone talking about the good old days and how the league has been watered down needs a baseball bat to the noggin.

That franchise won multiple Cups from the haul they got from trading Lindros. Hell, they made out a heck of a lot better by trading him than they would have done had he been willing to play for them

And even better, they didn't have to have that success in Canada, they got to do it in the US. A win for everyone involved!
