With the constant rumors of Sabres on the trade block (Myers, Stewart, Stafford, Hodgson, etc) got me thinking about what the Sabres need moving forward.

Assumming that McEichel shores up our #1C next year, I think we should be focusing on potential top 6 wingers, but who? I like our right wing prospects of Armia, Bailey, Baptiste, and Fasching but the left wing a little weak.

Whom do you think GMTM should be targeting specifically with our trade bait: Dal Colle, Burakovsky, Nick Ritchie or ??? or do we have enough bait to pry an elite prospect?

No, elite prospects rarely get traded, and when they do its for established prime NHLers with term (Richards, Carter, Burns)

The only thing we have that is remotely close to that is Myers.

Christmas Wish List

1) McDavid to be back for Canada for the WJC
2) Fringe WJ players make the teams (Baptiste, Florentino, Johanson*)
3) Our prospects that make WJ teams to do well like last year
4) The Sabres to be around 5 or more points solidly in last place.
Last year at Christmas, 37 GP 10-24-3 23 points, next team EDM had 27 in 39.
5)The Amerks to go on a roll
6) The Isles to fall back to average
7) Some major trade, doesn't have to be Buffalo
8) More snow

If Philly continues to play the way they do I'd wanna package some of our draft picks this year plus Hodgson and/or Stewart for Sean Couturier OR Wayne Simmonds, or some how trade a huge package for them. That would instantly shore up so much of our forwards if we can get one of McEichel (McJesus preferred...).
