It’s still a gut wrenching feeling watching these guys come into the league as prospects and then just seeing them retire

Good not great middle round pick who fell off after injury. All the credit to him for working his way back to the NHL and earning a few more paychecks. I think he'd be remembered more fondly without the Uber incident or the injury that derailed his career for awhile. He'll always have the Eddie Shore award from 14/15 which is kinda cool for him. Might be a top 10 (certainly not top 5 though) player to ever come out of Miami (of Ohio) hockey program which is another feather in his cap.

Wideman was kind of the Brannstrom of the Karlsson years. Small and mediocre skater. Couldn't box out and got out-muscled in his own zone. Moved the puck very well from the bottom pair. Was probably underappreciated to an extent because of his stature being a bottom pairing guy.
