How so?
Well when any main stream media refuses to touch it thats a really good sign.
How so?
That's not the issue. The issue is when the one dimension that they do bring doesn't make up for their shortcomings in all the other areas.
Saying all of that, I don't mind Neil and Boro on the team as long as their roles are well defined and are not playing all the time. Neil should be a 13th forward and Boro should be a 7th D. Going in and out of lineup as needed.
Uhg. This, in a nut shell, is one of the major things wrong with our society right now.
Lazy, apathetic way of thinking, coupled with blind acceptance of things "just because".
With thoughts like this, can we really believe we deserve better?
I don't mean to zone in on you personally, we all do it, your post just painted a Rembrandt to illustrate it.
good one.Out of 19 forwards who played for the Senators this season, Chris Neil is 18th in ICE-TIME PER GAME

Only Colin Greening played less... LET THAT SINK IN and then come back.
Out of 9 D-men who played for the Senators this season, Mark Borowicki is 8th in ICE-TIME PER GAME (and he is last at ES TOI/G)

Only Chris Wideman played less... LET THAT SINK IN and then come back.
Do you understand why many of us think the "naysayers" are just yapping for nothing most of the time? Exactly for situations like this.

Hey man, I have no problems with ice time this year. But I do have a problem with the amount of games they play. At this point in his career, and more likely next year, Neil should be going in and out of the lineup depending on who we play. If that's the case, I have no concerns with him staying one more year. If he's playing every game and playing 8 min a game, what's the point? Mind as well get someone else who contributes more.
Boro should be rotating with Wier. They're in the same boat right now. 6th/7th on the depth chart. Play them according to the match ups just like Neil. You have to put players in the position to succeed. Playing Boro and Neil every game does not do that.
Didn't Alfredsson say his legacy wasn't as important to him as it was for the fans or something like that? I could be wrong or don't remember exactly what was said in what context.
