They'll trade for Markstrom or bring in Talbot is my guess to be the 1A. Both guys Treliving has a familiarity with.

Markstrom makes the most sense to me. You cannot underestimate the value of a goaltender already galvanized to playing 1G in a Canadian market.

I mean this is pretty obvious. They'll get a guy like Jones again as the #3 and then get a Samsonov level goalie to be the 1B that just has more experience.

Elvis could be had. I imagine jackets will want to run Tarasov/Greaves next season but it'll likely be a Merzlikins/Tarasov show with Greaves getting the call up one of them inevitably gets hurt.

By that he meant a guy to split starts and a guy to fill the Jones role as the #3. Woll is going to be our starter as long as he is healthy

Fully expected this. A #2 vet and #3 vet.

Woll requires waivers, so unless one of these veteran goalies is a minor leaguer, I don't understand that one.

You don’t have to send him down if he is on LTIR all year. ;)

In seriousness, they should be going after Markstrom to serve as a 1A and let Woll be the 1B until he can take the job from Markstrom (or its proven he can’t)

Problem is he's not healthy, as in he's currently not healthy, and unless there has been an update that I missed we don't know how long he's out.

Following the Vegas route. I think Treliving tries to get Markstrom just because he knows him well. But the Leafs would likely have to get the Flames to retain at least 25%. Shouldn’t be difficult because when rumoured Markstrom was going to NJ, the Flames were going to retain 25%.

Goaltending was absolutely an issue this year, Samsonov himself pissed away about 15 points this year

Samsonov's record was 23-7-8 this year....a points percentage of .710; which is better than any team in the league was this year.

To add 15 points to his record this year would mean 69 points in 38 games... a points percentage of .90; or a record of roughly 33-2-3.....not sure any goalie has ever done that in the history of the game.
