This seems extremely lopsided. What exactly are Chicago getting out of this? Don't they already have an extensive collection of youngish filler/grinder/4th line types?


Who knows if Reichel will put things together, but he's got clear Top-6 Upside. Zero reason for the Blackhawks to give up on him at this point. Certainly not for something that does them very little of any actual good.

Kastelic is big, fast, physical, excels in a bottom 6 role.

His style of play fits with how Davidson is trying to build this team. Unlike Reichel.

Reichel can gel alongside countryman Stutzle and the Tampa 1st will give you .. well a first seeing as your fist is going to Arizona.

It's been pretty sad considering his promising he looked. Doesn't want to do what's necessary to have a roll in the NHL. He has the tools but not the will.

No reason for Chicago to do this deal.
