If Enstrom walks as a UFA (very likely), the jets will need a top 4 d-man to play with Buf. We have Niku and Stanley, but they are likely a few years out. Even if Niku made the team next year, he'd likely be in a very sheltered role.

Slater Koekkoek for Brandon Lemieux? Koekkoek is a RFA so can be signed for cheap, he is ready for a fulltime bottom pair role unfortunately he won't get that opportunity with our depth on the left side. We need a Kunitz replacement for next year so Lemieux can be that physical 4th line LW.

I could see the Kings moving Martinez or Muzzin in the right deal but it'll cost you assets. They're signed to good deals.

Not too sure Enstrom walks away. At his age and injury history and point production that has all but disappeared he might just take a reduced role and pay cut with the Jets. The only franchise he's ever known. He couldn't ask for much on the open market unless it's Sweden.

There's a guy named Kulikov. He was really good with Myers this year, but seeing how Chiarot is doing in the playoffs, we could try and give a long term try to a Kulikov-Buff pair before starting to spend assets.

I'm still not a fan of Chiarot as a regular player, but maybe Kulikov-Buff and Niku-Myers or something.

I could see Trevor Daley being a good fit. Could probably be had from Detroit for a reasonable price.

Sign Brandon Davidson. He has stretches where he plays like a solid top four and any of your RHD would be the best regular partner he’s ever had.

Probably only looking at a mil or so.

Hutton or Del Zotto might not be awful fits for what you're suggesting. Give us an interesting prospect/pick back for either and we'd surely consider it.

I would argue Koekkoek is not ready. Just dont see the defensive side of his game being NHL caliber yet. Still feels like a 6/7, not a 4

Why? He was solid in Detroit this year (when most werent) and is paid a reasonable salary.

Solid, despite having some of the worst suppression and goals metrics relative on a team with already very bad metrics? He's also making a ton for Winnipeg. He also only put up 16 points.
