Started actively watching the blues around '79 , went from being a casual fan as a kid to a die hard, I was around 10 years old, & from that time, to the time when my ears heard what is, in my opinion, THE greatest singer of Our national Anthem to ever grace this planet bar none, I suffered through quite possibly THE WORST array of anthem singers anyone could have dug out of an alley, right along with the rest of St Louis & Blues fans everywhere.
Sometimes I actually thought it WAS the bad anthem singers who cursed this team....that's how awful they were. There would be an "ok" one every so often..... but NOTHING like Charlie Glenn.
I remember the 1st time I heard him, I was down by the ice in 101 for a Blues vs Ducks game, I remember thinking "Who IS this man with the voice from Heaven?"..... Listen around any sport... we are lucky to have him.
Monday is Charlie's birthday.... if you are going tonight.... why don't WE all sing Happy Birthday to the guy who kicks so much ass!!!! No home games for a while after tonight....
