I'm happy for the people of San Diego.

Im over it myself personally, but when you go back and look at this whole fiasco, there should be no confusion as to why St. Louis is refusing to ever talk with the NFL again.

The one city that had an actual stadium plan is the only one that lost their team. Only in the NFL does this happen. Ah well.

EDIT: Wow and Goodell is even giving San Diego an extra 100 million dollars towards the stadium....the same 100 million he refused to St. Louis that would have completed the St. Louis stadium. Talk about a rigged, corrupt game.

I believe that St Louis were also given 100 million to complete their stadium but they wanted an ADDITIONAL 100-150 million which the NFL would not give

I don't know why OC Chargers fans would abandon them or care one way or the other... their commute times to games would likely be exactly the same and I can't imagine they identify too strongly with SD over LA. That gives the Chargers some constituency in the market... add in those whose first teams are in the NFC and you have enough to build a market over time.

However, I think San Diego will make this work and the Raiders will land in LA eventually. It makes too much sense, Davis isn't going to get the kind of funding he needs anywhere and LA is already building the stadium.

Cuz we don't like LA

This is false. St. Louis' stadium plan called for 200 million from G-4 loan (which everyone always gets) plus 100 million in a gift as negotiated by Bob McNair and Jerry Richardson. Goodell stepped in and said that was fundamentally inconsistent with the way NFL does things. There was never more than 300 million coming from the NFL

Now San Diego is getting that money. The only thing fundamentally inconsistent is Goodell.

It was a rigged game and if you want further proof, follow the Rams current search for a president to report to Kevin Demoff and watch who ends up with that job (I'll give you a hint: his initials are EG and he may or may not be the second in command of the league behind Goodell who had a strong role in the relocation process.)

I agree with Brodie. I also doubt that many people hate LA since a lot of Rams fans are in the OC.

This is like someone walking off their job for a better offer, then coming back for their 2 weeks because the other one wasn't ready to start yet. It's gonna be just a bit awkward at the water cooler.

Also take BDC's post in to context. He is a Ducks fan from Orange County. Orange County fans tend to dislike the LA teams when they have the OC option. But in sports like the NBA or College Football, where they have don't have an OC team, they root for the LA team.

Fair but the OC is just a bunch of random suburbs south of LA. They act like it's some separate area. Without LA, Disneyland and the Ducks, we don't know where the OC is or care about it.

I digress, hopefully the Rams capture all 5 counties in Greater LA.

I hope so too
