Boston Globe Chad Finn: It sure feels like Stanley Cup fever is spreading in Boston

If they stop loosing players,they have a hell of a shot.Someone will have to take care of the Caps for the Bruins.But other than the Caps Bruins can beat anyone.So Yeah I’m excited,but also a realist,it’s a long hard road,I take it one series at a time.I won’t book my Hotel room in Boston for the parade,just yet.I didn’t make the last one,please don’t make me wait 40 yrs for another one,really don’t think I would make that one.

I am just happy to be in this position at all , to be considered a Cup Contender . Bruins didn’t make the playoffs for two years and then had to scratch and claw to get in last year and meet a team that really had there number . If they don’t do well in the playoffs, sure it will be disappointing but I didn’t expect to be in this position this year .

Let’s be real, everyone reasonably expected this team to claw and scratch their way into a wildcard spot. Myself included.

Wouldn't be surprised at all to see the caps finally break through and we have to face them in the ECF if we manage to win two rounds. Just how the universe would present it
