He's a good defencemen and could play regular bottom pairing minutes. If Hamonic can get a 2 year contract, Michael Stone can get a 1 year deal. The Flames played musical chairs with their coaching staff the last 5 seasons, so that doesn't help any player look good.

Stone was brutal for a few years, but looked decent last season. Finally healthy maybe? Definitely worth this contract based on last season, and hopefully he pushes Gudbranson into the pressbox and not the other way around.
