Probably Russian origin, and some creative transliteration done way back when his grandparents or great-grandparents emigrated to Finland. Maybe one of the Russians here might have some more insight? That is one unique surname.
Probably a pilot.Somebody else to call Iggy.

I dont know any Russian, but I was thinking Ignatiev might be more modern transliteration.Ignat is a Slavic name, usually short for Ignatius.
I'm reminded of a former Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff.
Nice. Kipper probably helped him choose the Flames too.Probably a pilot.
Two Wild’s legends Kiprusoff and KaprizoffI dont know any Russian, but I was thinking Ignatiev might be more modern transliteration.
And that -ieff vs. -iev is a funny thing, Miikka Kiprusoff's passport says Kiprusov, and his official name in Finnish records for active business' is Kiprosov.
