Details of the league's offer and the ones the PA has an issue with
The CFL and it’s players association ended talks Saturday afternoon, opening the door the league’s first players strike in nearly four decades. With no new talks scheduled, here’s a closer look at the league’s latest offer to its players from TSN Football Insider Dave Naylor.

Term — The CFL is proposing a seven-year term for the new collective agreement. The players have requested that the deal expire 30 days before the opening of training camp in 2029, as opposed to the day before the opening of camps.
PA wants 5 years unless their other issues are address
Definition of revenue — Will use definition from previous CBA which gives union audit rights. The union and accountant have access to all financial records for review and audit.
PA wants more items included in the revenue like concessions and Grey Cup. But the revenue to players is 25% of new revenue (to be added to the flat cap), so it wouldn't be a big number. Shouldn't be a hill to die on
Padded Practices — Teams may have one hour of padded practice per week in one day during the Club’s regular season to a maximum of twelve.
This is being reintroduced and PA wants medical coverage for this. Seems like a reasonable ask.
One interesting items in this and which appears both sides agreed on
Timing of season — The CFL can start the season up to 30 days earlier, commencing with the 2023 season.
That would mean the season could start as early as the 2nd week of May and have the Grey Cup in late October instead of the current June to November set up.
