He's a tweener but at a $900K cap hit, there are a definitely a few teams that could do worse than him as forward 12/13 on their current 23-man roster.

I think he gets picked up like Foudy did.

The Jackets really needed to thin out their lower-roster forward ranks.

I would hope the Oilers give him a look too. Cheap, young, decent results last year, right shot RW and we just lost Holloway for awhile. He'd make a lot of sense.

A big part of the problem is that most teams don't have roster or cap space. The Jackets certainly don't want roster players back. So throwing a D-man in there just makes that problem harder, there isn't a team with two NHL roster spots they want filled that is willing to give up draft picks.

The Oilers should make a smart hockey move here. They don’t have too many opportunities to acquire quality players for cheap.

There are still players who you shouldn’t be able to sneak through waivers. It does say something however, that teams wouldn’t give something up for him. Suggesting maybe the Jackets do think he clears. That or maybe Nashville has let them know Foudy is going on waivers tomorrow.
