IMO Fortier is atleast 3 spots too low. But for the most part with the talent of our prospects and where they are in development its not a bad list. We have a pretty boom or bust group. Abramov could become a Panarin like star or could be an AHLer. Texier is another one that could be a home run or nothing at all.
I kind of like it because once you become a more consistant playoff team and draft lower these are the guys you need to take chances on and hope a couple are hits. Management has shifted to drafting speed+skill as seen again with our top 2 picks this year and I like the direction

Vehvelainen too high, Texier too low. However, depending on whether this is talent/ceiling driven or possibility of making it to the NHL might change the order overall anyway. I think Texier is going to be a high level player but needs time against the high level competition.

So obviously Merz/Tex/Sherwood/Tarasov are all too low, and as always I'm not high on a small forward drafted by Jarmo this summer (Karlberg). I own my crow from two years ago where the boards had Abramov ranked 7 higher than I did. I warm up to players afer their +1 draft season.

20-23 are pretty much a tier to me, as of right now.

I think it's a pretty good list, based on the little I know. I tried to do some research on each player I voted for, and looked for game video wherever possible, which informs the following rankings:

The only big difference between my list and the collective is that I have Peeke much higher, even above Gavrikov and Merzlikins. I tend not to rank goalies very highly until I see how they play in the system. I also tend to weight age heavily, so unless a guy has a lot of upside he's only going to go so high in my rankings, even if he's NHL ready now. Peeke is remarkably well-rounded for a player entering his 20 year old season, it's surprising we don't talk about him more.

What was the old hockeysfuture grading system? You get a number grade that corresponds with the reasonable upside duty in the NHL - 8.0 is first liner, 6.0 third liner, etc... and a letter grade that assesses likeliness to hit that, so an A is a lock, a B could slide a line/pairing lower, C could slide two lines lower etc... Am I remembering this right?

7.0B mean he is for sure NHL backup which I dont think we can say he is since we don't know how he would adapt to na he could totally not be able to develop well and and up going back to ahl europe even long term which isn't a worse floor than he is now.
8.0C would mean Abramov is for sure nhl worthy which I think he is. I don't think he can bust more than bottom 12 that get power play time so his floor would be more like 8.0C than 8.0D which would mean he wouldnt make the league at all really

If you had him ranked up with Stenlund I wouldnt even argue with you. I think like Z this is the first time hes really had to face the adversity of injuries throughout a year and he played through it looking good. Hes probably better after it too, little adversity never hurts if you handle it the right way
