J. Staal has been terrific lately. In the 15 games since the start of the year, he’s averaged a point per. Over that same span, he’s a +13.

One thing that we rarely talk about is how good of a skater J. Staal is. For a player his size, he moves really well out there. I thought the broken leg would have slowed him down a little bit, but he looks faster than he did before the injury.

The way some of their fans and the "make it 7" crowd acted towards Thrashers fans on social media and in comment sections on sites like AJC.com left a bad taste in my mouth.

I never hated the Thrashers, in fact I wanted them to succeed because I thought we would have a good little rivalry with them if they ever duplicated the success they had in 2007.
