Carolina top 20 prospects at start of 2023/24 season
This list is for players that are not in the NHL right now. So that removes Kaeden Korczak, Alex Vlasic and that other guy. I sorted this list using PNHLe from Dobber Prospects. Yes, I think this leans more to skill but it has been proven that if you can’t score before the NHL your odds of making it are not good. Overall this list is not great. Granted, most the higher end prospects are already in the NHL.

- Denton Matechuk – WHL His scoring has been much improved from last year. Looks to make the move to the AHL for further seasoning as the Columbus blue line is full right now.
- Graham Sward – WHL Out of nowhere Sward has been scoring at a torrid 1.5 points per game.
- Ryan Winterton – AHL His scoring was good in the AHL and received a callup recently
- Zam Plante – USHL Zam has been scoring well but he should not be in this league.
- Jacob Truscott – NCAA Jacob has been getting his assists playing at Michigan.
- Tristan Bertucci – OHL Tristan needs to play and get lots of ice time. He will need time.
- Chase Stillman – AHL His scoring is OK for the AHL but he appears to be a bottom six guy in the NHL.
- Connor Levis – WHL This is where the cut off is (sadly probably higher up on this list)
- Artyom Duda – NCAA? He is getting screwed by the NCAA Trying to be approved to play for Maine
- Jacob Perrault – His scoring is much better than that horrible year he had last year.
- Noah Dower Nilsson – SHL juniors Is recovering from shoulder surgury
- Kasper Simontiaval – Scoring in the Liiga. Might not have the size to bring him over.
- Roman Kantserov – KHL First year in the KHL needs to getting stronger against men
- Adam Beckman – AHL Stuck in the AHL? Surely the Wild need a cheap contract?
- Drew Helleson – AHL Has the size, but where is the skill?
- Sergei Ivanov - KHL 93% save percentage in the KHL
- Ruslan Khazeyev – MHL also a great save percentage
- Michael Hrabal – NCAA he is OK. Needs to be better.
- Arseni Sergeev – NCAA Doing well in NCAA
- Olivier Rodrigue – AHL 96% save percentage. Needs to play more.
