Norman is good but not great. He was well suited for their scheme, and others obviously are not.

Both lines for the Panthers have been pretty bad. Can't protect Cam, and can't rush the passer.

Norman wasn't "that" good all on his own. It's a matter of replacing 3/4ths of their secondary with rookies and inferior players. Unless you make major upgrades in other positions (which they didn't) that is enough to absolutely kill any NFL defense.
