I wasn't able to see this game but reading the play-by-play I am wondering what timeline this is. Is this Kyle guy the real deal? He delivers in the red zone? WTF?

He had a really good game.

That being said, this was the kind of day where the defense has 8 sacks and 2 interceptions. There’s something to be said for what really won the game, in terms of field position and momentum feeding the offense.

Kind of freaky, really.

Saints beat Seahawks with backup QB Teddy Bridgewater in his first recent NFL start.
Giants beat Bucs with backup QB Daniel Jones in his first NFL start.
Colts beat Falcons with backup QB Jacoby Brissett in his third start for the Colts.
Panthers beat Cardinals with backup QB Jake Allen in his first NFL start.

The NFC South got flipped around by some weird QB games this week.

I knew he was bad in goal, but I didn't see that career change coming

Donte Jackson would be great if he could make simple tackles. Seems like he is always looking for the big play. He'll learn eventually.

Yesterday was like a tutorial in his strengths and weaknesses. He had a bunch of highlights and a bunch of plays that he’s lucky people will forget about because they ended up winning.

YOU MAY LAUGH NOW SIR
BAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA

It may not happen again, but it was a great showing of poise by Allen. As someone posted, a lot of Backup QBs surprised this week, probably because there's no game tape to review and learn their tendencies. In that respect, Cam is super-easy to read and pressure/fluster

It was Allen's second start, he got one of the starts after Cam was shut down last season, but yeah.

Newton dealing with a Lisfranc injury.

Multiple sources confirmed Newton is dealing with a Lisfranc injury, in which the ligaments of the mid-foot rupture, causing instability with the joints. Some Lisfranc injuries involve trauma to the small bones in the foot, although the Panthers’ initial wording that Newton had sustained a mid-foot sprain would suggest his is ligament-related.”

f*** this team for starting him in that capacity. f*** them for starting him last year when his shoulder imploded.

How to ruin a franchise quarterback 101.

1. Draft franchise qb
2. What's a LT?
3. If he's hurt, f*** it.
4. Repeated hits to the head? I'll allow it.
5. Rush him back after injury to save your job.

Bonus point: shit on said qb who has only broke records like crazy and taken you to the Superbowl .
