a bit of an overpayment but couldn't say no to getting the Suzuki bro's together
confirmPure asset management there. We didn’t have the cap space to re-sign Tatar after the season and didn’t want to lose him for nothing. We are obviously happy to add Ryan Suzuki and have the chance to see him on the same team than his brother Nick in a couple years. Ryan improves our prospect pool as he is our second best forward prospect after Caufield. Foegele is also important in this trade considering we really like his type of game. We see him as a solid third line player who still has more potential to grow. While we are losing about 20 points production for this year between Tatar and Foegele, we believe that we can match it by being able to give Toffoli top 6 minutes, which wasn’t possible with Tatar on the team.
