Some people have clearly never watched him in the playoffs

yeah when it was clear that the habs were not going to give him goal support, what did the lazy bum do ? He didn't even try to score ! who does he think he is ? patches ???

if the habs could score in the playoffs, out goaltending is one of the least of of problems.

This isnt to say that price is the best goalie in the league right now, he dug himself quite the hole to start the season. But price looks now like we need him to look. At some point the habs are going to start scoring with regularity.

Yessss all you non believers, see what he can do with a 50% rookie/ahl team and 10 mil in free cap space and tremble at the thought of him with a healthy team and a extra star or two in front of him !!! muhahaha its coming sooooon!!!!!

And how exactly do you envision our impotent GM acquiring two star players “soooooon”?

Price is single handedly setting this franchise back even further with his good play.

Talk about a no win situation:

You play well, you f*** the team out of much needed prospects and despite your good play, the team has 0 chance of winning the cup

You play badly and people hate you for your contract

No player will ever lose on purpose. Especially a winner like Carey.

You heard it here first

For sure, Price is a gamer, but it is hurting Montreal and let's be honest, they are quite a bit away from being legit contenders.

Price may take them to the playoffs, but in the long run is it really a win?

But it's a good kind of pain though isn't it?

Well it's not a win for 15 teams, just gotta take a chance and hope you're the 16th team.

It would have been far worse if he had continued playing like he did at the beginning of the season. Cause you suck and you're stuck with a man making 10 million being awful. If anything the fact that he returned to his Godly self, his value has risen to the heavens. And he is now tradeable.

Honestly, that's on the GM. When you have a talent like Price you need to surround him with a good team. The Montreal Canadiens were a good young team five years ago and now that club has been blown up. It's poorly constructed, the D is bad and there's STILL no solution at center.

It's terrible to see a talent like Price go to waste.

He always plays poorly vs Edmonton for some reason. Now 2-7-1 with a .859 sv% and 3.74 GAA in his career against them.

All goalies have both good and bad games but I have never seen a goalie where the difference between the "on" and "off" setting is so big.
When he is off he moves so much slower, like he's severely depressed or something. On the other hand, when he is on, he's the best goalie in the league.

I know it's speculation and a bit rude but I hope he doesn't have trouble with his mood.

A good player on a garbage team. If Price, pacioretty, galchenyuk etc are traded elsewhere you will see them flourish. Send pacioretty to the leafs and watch him score 30. Mtl ruins careers.

Lets not pretend Toronto doesn't shit on their struggling stars as well.
