The sad thing is that it doesn’t really look too different from his bad games, he’s just much higher up on the list than usual. He’s been putting up, like, filler minutes with low event neutral results

He’s an elite player and would be perfect for this team. He’s everything they hoped Mantha would be — the model version of a modern power forward.

That 3rd period was tough to watch. I remember when we used to make our opponents look really bad. The opposite happened here. I think at some point in the 3rd the shots were 7-0 and we were hanging on for dear life, flipping the puck out of the zone the first chance we got.

Kuemper with a huge game to stole us a point. High-danger chances were 15-5 Devils at even-strength and 19-7 overall. Yikes.

Young guys need to play against strong competition to mature. It won't always be pretty, but it's healthy.
