Meanwhile in Jersey - Vanecek is getting lit up in his first start for the Devils. 4 goals against on just 17 shots thru 2 periods.

Milano's a worse skater than McMichael. He's bigger than Snively but if he's not projected to be a regular I'm not sure why you'd bother. Not a PKer, not a third-line/bottom six type. Not really good enough to be a top sixer. A tweener type that doesn't add any pace? Shrug.

Don’t know much about him but had decent stats last season (except for +/-).

He's young enough to find himself with the Caps like Connelly did and to some extent Sprong. Worth a try.

I guess. Those two were more or less PKer fourth-liners, though, and they're already sitting two comparable tweener type skilled players. Malenstyn, Borgstrom, Pilon...etc. still in the fold. Odd.
