Uh no, certainly not Maata+. Maata has franchise D potential Pens fans think, he is the Pens org's most untouchable prospect and perhaps player other than Crosby and Malkin at this point.
Sharp has three years left on his current contract and will be 35 when it ends, no reason to ship out an NHL ready D on a cost-controlled ELC who BTW just had an incredible season playing in the top 4. Pens would probably have a hard time trading Despres too, he's right behind Maata.
The other D I mentioned are borderline NHL ready with cost-controlled ELCs, we're talking cap relief here aren't we?
