Tired teams and an incredibly biased whistle. And because of that moron we couldnt even capatilize.

I guess hopefully JR can pull some strings and get us another season like that.
In a "step back" year a tough schedule may be good for the young talent I hope they get. Couple long road trips for bonding

Imagine have Bedard and possibly Matthews and playing in a 3500 seat arena. Thats like the Angels with 2 generational players playing in Nat Bailey Statium

A 5 game road trip to start the season? What the heck.
Also, NHL season starts when it'll be week 5 of the NFL season.

Mildly interesting that we play Edmonton and Vegas 1 fewer game each.

I still have absolutely no idea why the NHL picks us to get the Saturday game against Toronto over Edmonton.
There has been a Saturday Vancouver / Toronto HNIC matchup as long as I can remember.

Along with the all the fuss of a 4pm start if it happens here.

It’s a rotation. Next season it will be 2 different teams that they only play 3 teams in the division.

Nhl could scrap the 3rd game vs the other conference division and have 34 games within the division. 5 games each vs 6 teams and 1 team is only 4 games.

But under the current format at most you play in another city 2 times. Seems ideal to play both games on 1 trip vs going back there a second time. It Would eliminate 10 separate trips. 4 to the central and 6 within the division.

I myself do enjoy division play being a little heavier than the other stuff, but I would not want to take away from playing the Central a little more than the Canucks play the Eastern conference.

I’m fine with it either way. Just think that if you’re only playing at most twice in another city why not just play both games there rather than travel there again? More ideal to do them back to back. This get better quality b2b games as the visiting team isn’t flying to the next city and getting Into their hotel between 2-3 am. Can be back at their same hotel around 11pm. And be completely rested for the next day.

You’ll still have b2b with travel since they will do so vs the East for example.

I would be quite fine with back to backs in the same building. It only makes too much sense.

Would be cool as hell if yotes land matthews and bedard and Kansas City still recovering from Covid denies an nhl team and we have a dispersal draft and land one of them. Lol

When was the last time, if ever, any major league teams have a dispersal draft?
