this is what happens when the team hasnt made the playoffs in almost 9 years. prices skyrocket. houses groceries gas everything.

Jeesh these prices are insane I'd rather buy a new huge ass TV and watch the run at home with a full plate of fries
add some beer while your at it. i want to go to one playoff game this year maybe in round 2 if they do well 1st round is too pricy.

Oh hell no.

I would rather tell my kids and wife to f*** off for a few hours, turn on the TV and proceed to eat shitty takeout pizza and cheap craft beer than spend $500.

Glad I was an adult during the 2007-2012 years and could easily afford to go to games.

There is probably pent up demand due to the fact we haven't seen a playoff home game in nearly a decade...whereas we used to take the playoffs for granted in the 2000s and early 2010s.

Super lucky to have gone to game 5 vs LA 2010, and game 1 vs BOS. I felt old last year when two youngsters were wondering what tickets must have cost for the Finals, I was actually able to answer that lmao.

My mum wants to go to a game so long as it’s under $500ea. Ridiculous price.

Parking - $50+ $14 beer $9+ burger $7+ dogs

Take two people, tix - $1200+parking+1 beer each+1 burger or dog each per game around $1300 per game X 2 games = $2600, if the series goes 7 games $5200.

All the way? Each round costs more, well over $20,000 if they all go 7 games and Nux are home team.

When I had my business I sent clients ;) ;)

Since 1990 to 2009 probably dropped well over 120G's on games

But how many rounds?

You think they will go pay per view?
You can bet they will. $25 to 50 per game. :(

$14 beer is better than what my Dad paid. He spilled his at the Calgary game we were at and gave me his card to go get him another one. It was $24.

Not like the other snacks/drinks are much better, but holy smokes.

The last game I went to I walked away with two large beers and it cost in the neighborhood of 40-45$ which is insane. You could get a 24 case for that (at least.)

Watch one, maybe two nucks playoff games live in a sold out stadium, sounds pretty good.

Or spend the same or less on a new 70-75" TV and soundbar and watch all the games, sports, movies, everything else for the next several years..

Choice is yours.

Err, the canucks didn't get to round 3 or the Finals in 2007.

They used to have an all-or-nothing approach to purchasing playoff tickets as a season ticket holder. So you had to buy every single potential ticket and then were refunded the ones that weren't used. Could either get cash back or have that deducted from your cost for next season's tickets.

You’re paying for the experience, it’s worth a hell of a lot more than a nice TV.

Especially if it’s one of your dreams

Regular season tickets were going for like $150 a pop for cheapish seats against “decent teams”

Games against the leafs we’re going into 350 range.

I’m also completely gullible, I did not want to spend this much money on a ticket, but after thinking about it, it’s worth it for me

This is the first playoffs in over eight years, it’s obviously going to cost a fortune.

You’re paying for the experience, you’re paying for the memory, it’s expensive, but there are more than enough people that’s willing to do it.

I never been to a playoff game in my life, if I have to drop $800 for two tickets so my wife and I can experience something that’s once in a lifetime for us, it’s worth it for us.

We’re not rich, But at the same time, I don’t wanna live in regret.

you only live once.
And don’t get me wrong, I completely understand some people not being able to afford it whatsoever, life is f***ing tough right now, everything is so expensive, not everybody has a little bit of extra savings to do something like this.

I’m just saying, I only have a couple short, paid vacations a year, if I have to use one of them to go to once in a lifetime experience for myself, I think it’s worth it.

But that’s just me honestly, I’m not criticizing anybody else
