In barely a week , the Motte/Lammy/Highmore line has evaporated...I've liked the way the Canucks have been playing the last couple of games (despite some of the dubious reffing), so hopefully another win tonight.

Playoffs are done. Once you account game in hand we’re around 7 points behind with less than 20 games to play. They’d need multiple teams to collapse. Just hope Lockwood and rathbone get real looks down the stretch here.

It's basically 'win or else' this afternoon in 'Big D'. Even with a regulation win, the Canucks playoff hopes are still on life support. But whatever the result, it's been quite a run for Bruce Boudreau's boys.

But realistically, once the Canucks fired everybody in that Sunday afternoon massacre in November, the story of this season was really all about the off-season. That's where the 'heavy lifting' really starts for the current management group.

Klimovich had a bit of hype at the start of the year?

Looks like maybe he should have destroyed some kids his own age first though. Was the other option ohl or whl ? I forgot but we had an option of sending him somewhere else before the AHL.

Dallas is probably going to crush us. Then again I thought Colorado and wild would too but this time I think so. They have something to play for. Playoff mode for them too this time.

Or just go 12-3-1. Easy breazy Kinger

Here's Dallas and Vegas teaming up to destroy the Canucks playoff chances.

Highmore will be missed. Love Garland's energy, but he has to start putting the puck in the net (Feb. 24 was his last goal).
Demko will need one of his "stand on his head" games tonight. GO NUCKS !

Nah that's the coyotes. Playing in a rink next year that's smaller then a lot of AHL arenas.

Canucks are in the next tier of sad sack franchises like the Sabres.
Seems like a post for the mods and not one to respond to. (Not yours, but the generically named poster you replied to).

He was drafted by the Q, but IIRC, he was also owned by a KHL team. Certainly good in retrospect that he didn’t end up there.

With both him and Podkolzin, the question is what happens if/when they go back to Belarus/Russia for the summer, and if they'll be allowed to leave again.

Hopefully the team is pushing hard for both to stay and enjoy the summer here.

Both guys have their girls with them here (wife for Podkolzin) and it's highly unlikely they are going to go back this off season. Maybe they will be bringing more of their families here?

That's a fair point; however, the Coyotes actually have a future.

This could be the start of "seeing what is in the system", other wise known as "NOT TANKING" with the same results.

But it does make it interesting to see what's on the farm

Speed but a little small?

I think he gets about 5 to 7 minutes

Normally they would be going back even with their GFs here, just as Pettersson goes back to Sweden and Boeser to Minnesota etc.

And yeah, hopefully they stay. If they go back, I don't know that it's better than 50/50 we see them over here next year.

He's producing just fine for a 18 year old in the AHL. 20-25 points is a solid year for his first year pro, hopefully he gets top 6 minutes next year and puts up 20 goals/40 points
