For once the Canucks get a break in the schedule. The Preds played last night and lost in St. Louis. So they're on the back half of a back-to-back and looks like they'll be using their backup goalie in Rittich.

Although the Canucks are in tough stretch of games, they should still be fresh after being off for a couple of weeks prior to the onset of this road-trip. So they have a shot at closing the trip on a winning note.

Again it all comes down to Demko.....he'll have to be at least as good as he was in Washington.

Location: Location:
Nashville coming off a loss on the first half of their back-to-back..

Could be a big bounce back effort where we get buried for the first 10 minutes...
Need Demko to hold strong while we get into the game.

(at least that's how it used to be...)

Travel has been good on this trip. Flight from Miami to TB would have been short enough to give them the option of staying in Miami or going to TB after the game.
Pair of afternoon games over the weekend so they got a good nights sleep after both days. Flew out of Washington on Sunday.
One of the rare instances where the road team is facing a home team who is on a B2B Situation.

Actually Washington had played the night before as well
The Canucks had one of the easiest schedules in the league before stoppages, lots of 2nd in2 night opponents.
The Preds are in a dogfight for a playoff spot and playing really good this year

A win today would be huge. Two wins to close out this brutal road trip would take a lot of the sting off the first three losses. I'm expecting a big effort from the top players, especially Pettersson after he scored two in Washington.

Preds just coming off a B2B against the Blues (in St Louis)..Hopefully, they take full advantage of this, so a winnable game for the Canucks.
Obviously, Demko in goal..Fingers crossed that there's no new covid cases
Also, looks like Hogs has a bit to learn, I remember Green saying the exact same thing about the player..

If you can’t out score your mistakes or deficiencies you need to have a complete game.

Bure couldn’t have gotten away with his cherry picking if he was only a 20 goal guy. As a 50 goal scoring he could.

Agree his turnovers, puck decisions and play in spurts needs to become much better game to game

I think it’s a shame we haven’t seen Di Giuseppe still. Might not be a difference maker but Chiasson is just diarrhea. Dowling is meh.

So does that mean Horvat is stuck in Nashville for the week and will miss the Florida game at home on Friday? Seems this will be the same as Boeser & Dickinson who had to stay in California. Damn.

Just want to add, I hope Bo is okay and asymptomatic.
