Well Edler is gone for a couple of games.....who do the Canucks have available for blueline duty?

They dodged a serious bullet last game with the Utica blueline tandem of Chatfield and Brisebois.....but won't get lucky twice against the Leafs.

That hockey team from the center of the Canadian universe will be a motivated bunch tomorrow. Losing back to back games against an undermanned Canuck squad would be a real downer for them.

I can see another 40-shot night for whoever's manning the pipes for the Canucks.

I expected the 'Nucks to get bombarded last game but I underestimated the Leafs lack of 'killer instinct'. That team is seriously soft as butter.

If the Canucks are still in it after the first period it's anybody's game. They will be flying on energy and pride for a while.

Does anybody from Sunday's game need Tuesday's game off? If not then who comes out of the Canucks line-up. Graovac, Michaelis are the first 2 out.

Virtanen, Highmore, Motte, MacEwen, and Lind are the forwards who didn't play on Sunday. Highmore is almost done his 7 day quarantine he started on the 13th, Virtanen is still ailing from the virus, and I don't know about the other 3.

The forwards have the size of a training camp roster.

Either Schmidt comes back, or we see Ashton Sautner dress, I think. I believe Rathbone is still in quarantine so he’s not eligible for this game.

Radio 650 just now saying Nylander might not get to play tonight, because he was late to a team meeting. How can a guy be late to a meeting if the team is supposed to be staying in their hotel rooms, and not going out? He either was napping or broke protocol rules? This could get juicy if it’s the latter.

This is exactly what I am curious about. Brisebois, Chatfield, Sautner, Hamonic, Hughes and Myers? That would be legendary.

I expect Green will ride Holtby again and tonight, unlike last game, I expect our team to get lit up.

The Canucks did have a little help in Holtby channeling Terry Sawchuk the other night. I guess the voodoo trick of drinking some of LuckyLarry's blood worked for him.

I think tonight the leafs will not play down to their opponent and we'll see the result most expected for the first game.

Honestly? Didn't feel the Leafs played down to us last game - they dominated it for the most part, and Holtby stood on his head. The Canucks found some energy in the third, but by and large, they were chasing the puck all night.

That said - I do think the Leafs will have that extra bit of motivation tonight. And we have no Edler for the whole game. It's going to be another huge hill to climb.

Losing Edler hurts us more than the loss of a broken Hyman for them..Leafs will be seeking revenge for a gutsy win by the Canucks on Sunday.
There's a good possibility that the Canucks could get their lunch handed to them tonight (apparently, Ferraro thinks the Leafs will beat the Canucks by a 4 goal margin)..Canucks just have to keep the score close, and dont let the score go sideways.
The Leafs were in a class by themselves earlier in the season, but in the last while were starting to see weaknesses (we've beaten them the last 3 games), ..The Jets are a much tougher opponent for the Canucks, like a Boa Constrictor, that just squeezes the life out of the team..There's no room.
Another spectacular fist round fizzle out by the Leafs would be spectacular.
