With the team competing for a playoff spot, the decision has been made to close the designated Tank Thread. With this decision, the HF Van Moderating Team felt it was important to remind everyone of a few rules.
Chief among these is Trolling. Any poster who visits the Canucks’ board GDTs with the express intent of cheering against the Canucks or antagonizing the posters there will be violating our Site Rules for trolling. Also bear in mind that GDTs exist to discuss the game being played on that night between the teams in question. The same rule will apply for the rest of the Canucks’ board as well. If a Flames, Oilers, or Kings fan visited our board and actively cheered against the team, they would be cited for trolling. The same will apply to Vancouver fans who attempt to make this a habit. This is not to say that players, coaches, or management are above criticism – but 1) keep it to the designated threads, and 2) be civil and play within the Site Rules, as emphasized in the following paragraph.
Criticism and healthy discourse surrounding the management of the team is both allowed and encouraged in the designated Management Thread. Disliking Jim Benning (or any member of the management team) is not a violation of our Site Rules, and this criticism and discussion will be allowed to continue much as it has. But this post should serve as a reminder to both sides that if that discussion crosses the line into personal attacks or trolling, they will be subject to discipline from the moderators as well. Long and short – be civil to one another.
