Fleury is also averaging 20:58 with the Ducks and his minutes have been going up. He played 25:36 in a regulation game a few nights ago against LA (5 seconds more than Doughty). He's been paired with Drysdale who is their #1D of the future.

In 35 games with the Canes this season Fleury only ever played more than 16 minutes 4 times. He averaged 13:36.

Fleury is a good d-man. He's never going to live up to his top 10 billing which is I think the biggest problem most people had with him. If we weren't so stacked on defense most of his time here he probably would have been generally more appreciated.

Really liking Fluery, Can see the Ducks rolling 4 and 4 in the ED to protect him. He has been a very good partner for Drysdale. Started off a little intimidated, likely getting used to a new team but the last several games he has been very engaged in all 3 zones, and has been noticeably good, even chipping in a little offense. 2 points in 9 games on this Ducks team is like 5 in 9 on most other teams lol. Hope Hakanpaa has been working out for you guys!

Anyway, good luck in the playoffs!

WE LIKE HIM. HE'S SIZABLE, VERY ATTRACTIVE AND HE MAKES OUR 3RD PAIR LESS BUTT-CLENCHING.

I don't doubt Fleury has more to give. He might be giving it with Anaheim. But he had one decent stretch last year where he was still wildly inconsistent. This year he was pretty bad and didn't earn a shot next to Pesce. Ned just made as big of an offensive impact last night as Fleury did all season for us.

I hope he does great in Anaheim. He might be a guy that can't get to his game in less minutes and a lesser role. But he rarely earned more than that here.
