Carolina goes with a 1A, 1B system with Ward and Khudobin. Both are capable goalies. And both have stood on their heads against Ottawa lately.

It stems back for over a decade. When Carolina was good. But even so, we've been losing in their barn for what seems like forever.

It's so good. I never thought I would fancy a vinegar based bbq sauce, but by god it's tasty.


I'm going to this one with some friends, one of whom doesn't drink (ie free DD). Should be fun.

Khudobin has actually been on fire the last 4-5 games. I'd rather have gone up against Ward at this point. Ah well, it's a game we've gotta have if we have any shot at a wildcard spot.

tough to do, but Ottawa is playing a lot of non playoff teams in the next 9 games (8 of 9 arent in the playoffs right now)

I'm not optimistic, but 10 of our next 14 games are at home. After that we go on that deadly swing through California, so if it's gonna happen it's gotta happen now.

Senators – Preview – Jan. 17th, 2015 (Game #44) vs. Carolina

Coming In Hot: David Legwand. After posting just one point over a 10-game stretch, he’s posted four points over his last four games. And that four-game point streak is still active, by the way. The harsh reality is that Legwand has only scored 20-plus goals in two of his 13 NHL seasons, so it’s no surprise that he’s only scored seven times in 43 games with Ottawa. Perhaps tonight is the night that David registers his first multi-goal game as a Senator.
