Good, we have enough veteran presence on the blueline with Markov, Gilbert and Weaver. Let Beaulieu/Tinordi develop. They will make a few mistakes but it will be worth it come playoff time.

Respect the man and the player. He was a soldier and looked like a good teammate but it was time to move on.

The way Gaston Therrien, Alain Crête and co. acted in this case was absurd. Like Bouillon was relevant and important to this team's success. Some people even started to hate Bouillon for it which is a shame. You can't blame a player for trying.

Let's hope for him that he finds a job somewhere, hopefully Ottawa, Boston or Toronto.

What does "released" mean? I'm really not familiar with the terms. It's not the same as waived right?

Thanks Frankie for always wearing the sweater proudly. I truly wish him and his family well. He is hanging on a tad too long but some NHL team will sign him today!

Still doesn't mean he can't be signed before the final roster is due

Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin and head coach Michel Therrien met Monday morning with Francis Bouillon to advise him that the Club will not be offering him a contract for the upcoming season.

The press release specifically states that the team would not offer him a contract for the upcoming season so that's pretty much a given.

Not at all surprising, since he only got into 1 exhibition game. MB was just trolling everyone on HFBoards keeping Frankie around so long.

You can't be waived without a contract. It just means that he was cut from the camp and that the team would not offer him a contract.
