I know, that Canada's got the best team in the world, but wouldn't you guys like to have a Russia - Canada final?

I believe that Ovechkin, Kovalchuk and Kovalev are good enough to get us there.

I would love to see the classic match up in the finals.

I'm hoping for a Canada vs. Sweden final, and Russia vs. Czech Republic for the bronze.

It would be great fun playing the Russians though.

Yeah, that'd be good. Frankly I think the Russian team is going to have too much inexperience to be in the Gold medal game, but if they can do it, then great!

I don't really care what teams are in the finals unless Sweden is there... But sure, Russia might be interesting to watch but I doubt they will get farther than the semifinals due, could use a elite-goalie like the other favorites have.

I think as long as Sokolov doesn't start, our goaltending is not too bad. Bryzgalov's been very solid this year. He's obviously not as good as Brodeur, Lundqvist or Hasek/Vokoun, but I've got faith in him. If Nabokov starts, then I'll be more worried, but still this isn't HUGE concern for me.

I'm more worried that the defense could be shakey or that the forwards don't play as a team.

speaking from experience... :) or :( ...

With the Olympics, or any international hockey tournaments, where one bad game can make a major upset in standings it's best to not count chickens until they're hatched eh ;)

Yep! That goes for all hockey games though, not just international tournaments. Women's hockey seems to be the only exception :P

Who was in Russia's goal in Nagano?

Stolenkov, or something?

We still got to the finals thanks to Bure's performance.

I would rather have Ovy and Kovy than Pasha scoring goals for me.

nobody believes in our chances, but it's all possible.
