Can you remember a team as clutch/lucky as the 09-15 Hawks in the postseason?

As a fan I was just reminiscing back at our run. There's a compilation below of all of our OT goal winners. Just wondering if there was a similar run with one core that had as many timely clutch and/or lucky OT goals in the playoffs. Older fans might be able to answer this better.

Well the 93 Habs won 10 of there 16 playoff wins in OT.

Oh and that was 10 straight after losing an OT game to QC in the 1st round.

That's as clutch as it gets!

Typically yes, but my goodness if that was 100% true this would be the 3rd season Anaheim failed to make the playoffs in a row not the 1st.

The 76-84 Islanders went 19-3 in OT.

Even after some regression in the following decades, their playoff OT win% is still easily the best of any NHL franchise.

They were pretty clutch for sure. As to was that 1993 Montreal team. Didn't they win Game 3 vs. Quebec in overtime as well?

The Hawks must have lost almost as many times in OT during the same period. Game 7 in Vancouver, against the Kings, 2-3 times against Phoenix in 2012, once against Boston and Philly in the final etc. are some that come to mind.

They won because mogilny and LaFontaine were hurt. Grant Fuhr kept the Sabres alive in the series.

They were extremely lucky in terms of injuries, plus the NHL wanted them to be successful.
