GG - you've got to be kidding?

The league was wasting too much time getting pucks out of nets while the players are changing lines?! really?

Sorry, I poorly worded my post. What I meant was pucks getting stuck on the back of the net when the play is behind the net. Not when a goal was scored.

this is a hockey pet peeve of mine.

Come on, the entire game is about the puck and where it needs to go!

After some hard work and/or skill, it somehow gets to where the ultimate "goal" is. Keep it there are a few seconds at least!

Maybe they should go with a double-net system. The outer net, can be very tight, to avoid pucks getting stuck on the back of the net. Hell, make it an aluminum mesh just to be sure. The inside net, can be made either real loose OR be made to collapse and break when the puck hits it. After, the goalie who yielded the goal must face the humiliating task of cleaning up the busted net and then install a new one.
