Can someone remind me why Moog was in net in the final game in the 1984 final?

My memory loses on this one. So I googled it and nothing comes up as to why this happened.

I seem to remember Fuhr being injured that game despite playing the other 4 games in the final. This is what led Moog to start in net.

I know Moog played most of the games in the 1983 playoffs but can't for the life of me remember why he played in the most important one in 1984

Moog played in the last two games. Fuhr suffered a chest injury in a collision with an Islanders' player (Lafontaine?).
