happens mostly if a 'favorite' teammate gets traded, or if the player doesn't like you. But it seems as though you figured it out

JuJu, when your player was disengaged, did their attributes drop steadily or rapidly? I found on NHL 17 the attributes fell off a cliff when a player was like that

Overall dropped between 3-7 points depending of the player.
