can CHL players play in a sanctioned summer league in southern hemisphere?

i asked this in the Junior and ECHL forum but curious about CHL. Can a player in CHL play in a sanctioned summer league in the Southern Hemisphere during their winter season? our off-season of course.

I asked a Jr B GM in BC and he ssaid for most part it would be fine, just need to liase with club to a certain extent.
