Can anyone deny the VAN/EDM series has been the best?

Such a waste, Vancouver actually had a fighting matchup vs the Stars (even if it was unfavored) but Edmonton is just horribly overmatched

Vancouver minus Boeser had no chance against Dallas. I don't seem to know what happened to Vancouver, but that corpse of what was left of a very good team wasn't going another game deeper. They ran out of gas, they were done.

Nucks were so overrated. They had no chance. Little EP and Hughes weren’t going to do shit against the Stars. McDrai can dominate.

Maybe try getting more than like 8 shots on net until like late in the 2nd period and getting down by 2-3 goals and trying to mount a comeback based on the other team letting up.

So called stars +2 and +1 wow such even strength domination (oh no don't count the backchecking)

Evan Bouchard +7 in the series, 5 goals (1st on either team), 11 points in 7 games (second to Draisaitl) ... there's your series right there. He outplayed Quinn Hughes plain and simple in this series.

Literally Skinner was the only reason you won 6 and 7

Game 6 and 7 where the shot total was absurdly lop sided well past half of the game being over? Here's a pro-tip ... being outshot like 24-5 half way through a game isn't a winning formula, you're lucky it wasn't 4-0 or worse by that point.

Shots are absolutely meaningless compared to scoring chances

If you're not going to start playing hockey until you're down by 3 goals and just sleepwalk through the first 2 periods you deserve to lose a game 7. Next time show up on time. Generating some chances late in a game where the other team is basically just playing out the clock is heavily inflated by score effects (one team is sitting back by that point).

They aren't. Because every shot is an opportunity for a lucky bounce, confusion, rebound, redirection off someone's ass, etc.

Scoring chances themselves are rather arbitrary measures. What are they even based on? Oftentimes, nothing but guesswork and estimations. Especially because different NHL rinks have different measuring accuracies and errors to them, meaning a lot of the data used for modeling stuff like scoring chances is inconsistent and noisy.

At least shot attempts concretely happen and are tangible. The chance for human error is at least minimized.

This was actually one of the worst series I've ever seen. Bettman's playoff format is such a joke, having the divisions locked away until the 3rd rd. Because neither of these teams deserved to even be in the 2nd rd let alone the 3rd.

If the teams were say Anaheim vs Nashville and the hockey was this bad, the Canadian fans and media would be losing their minds
