This is Year 2.

They need to buy Lehner out this summer. We can't do this for three more years.

It would shake out as a$389k against cap next year, $889K the following year, $2.389M in 2024-2025, then 1.889K in each of the three years after his contract would have ended. This would enable the team to better manage cap when it most needs it.

I was primarily talking about for the rest of this season and I should’ve clarified that. I completely agree with what IceNeophyte said in his post though.

I will always acknowledge I’ve been very critical of Lehner but I feel I at least articulate why I am, and give praise to him when he plays well. I don’t just bash him because I miss Fleury.

Thompson has been solid as far as I am concerned and his athleticism is miles better. Regardless of who is in goal, the defense has to be better.
