Since there's a Getson I figure we should have a Balmas one.

Mitchell Balmas
1998-03-19
Position: C/W
Birthplace: Sydney, NS
Ht: 6'01" Wt: 168lbs
Shoots: Left

He's ripped up the NSMBHL for 2 years and he started his rookie season in NSMMHL with a bang. Likely will play for Team Atlantic at the U17s this year which will be held in the same rink the Tradesmen play in. Outside of the Maritimes he might be known to prospect followers as the kid who scored the game winner at the AllState All-Star Game.

Balmas is an amazing prospect, there is no reason he will not go 1st overall in the QMJHL draft, the guy has size, strength, hockey sense, great shooting, excellent playmaking, he has the ability to make highlight plays, he is a great puck handler with great moves, he has to work on his agility and acceleration not that either is really bad but if your looking at something to improve those are it, his stride is not the smoothest but he can work on that he has good speed though once he is going and his acceleration is average so it is not bad. The guy is a star in the making.

Yeah, he seems to be off to a great start with his Q junior career, I'll be interested in seeing him a couple times throughout the year. Have you caught a game of his this season?
