Keegan Iverson has had some huge hype in this town but I've never really seen him play. Big for a kid his age; would be a great chance to get his feet wet tonight as the hawks have wrapped up their playoff seed and will likely rest a few players.

I know they often pre-write pages and it could be a mistake but Schoenborn has already tweeted he hopes to play tonight and signed awhile ago. These two players were just added to the winterhawks roster today. http://winterhawks.com/roster/index/team/41/sort/last

Both great signings for the Winterhawks, especially the signing of Iverson. Many in the Minnesota hockey community thought Iverson was WHL bound as early as the beginning of this season so this move really does not come as a surprise.

I think Iverson's someone who can really benefit from making the jump from MN HS/USHL to the WHL.

Man, right when you expect Portland to take a step back they pull something like this and add good young talent.

Was in attendance last night and Iverson made his debut. WOW! Huge for his age but perhaps more impressive was his speed. Really strong on the back check and displayed excellent technique in front of the net in the offensive zone. Has quite a few "welcome to the league" moments but he was throwing the body hard. Really get the sense this kid is something special.

Cannot wait to see him full time (who knows how much playing time he'll get in the playoffs). Kid could have been in the dub all year!

Yeah, thanks.

Will be interesting to see him in the playoffs, if he plays.

C Keegan Iverson - Portland Winterhawks, WHL (2014 Draft)

Keegan Iverson, C, 6'00, 215 lbs (63•22•17•39•14•79): He's really developing into a real effective power forward. He's a solidly-built guy. I'd like him even better at an inch or two taller, but he's really stepped his offensive game up this year (Looks like he'll at least quadruple his point total from last year) and has begun to really assert himself physically. He's also become a weapon on the power-play, parking his hard-to-move frame in front of the net to net 7 power-play goals. Was ranked 64 by the CSS on their mid-season list.

...the talent to be real steal in this year's draft.
