He's a '94 birthday who went undrafted in 2012 but has been on fire to start the 2012-12 season (9 G, 13 P in 5 GP). He seems to have decent height (6'00 according to QMJHL official site) but is fairly undersized at 160 lbs, so I'm wondering if some people more familiar with the Q could tell me what could stop him from being a fairly early pick if he keeps up a similar kind of production thoughout the season

I'm not fully sure. Probably the same things that have kept a team from taking their 6th and 7th round picks and selecting the Saulniers.

He's a twig who had a so-so season last year.

5'10 150 pounds with 32 points won't get you drafted. Reminds me of a lesser Brandon Hynes.

I didn't ask why he didn't get drafted, I asked if there is a reason why he might not get drafted this year in an early round if he continues to produce at over a PPG

He's very small, not very physical and is coming out of nowhere. If he scores 100 points MAYBE he gets drafted, but I highly doubt it.

Let's re-evaluate him in a month.

Is he really THAT small? There are many kids his age who are thin like that, I don't think its a big deal, he can bulk up with time.

He looks very small to me on the ice. But he's shifty.

I guess he wouldn't be the first small player to make it into the bigs.

Last season he had 17 goals on 58 shots in 50 games. 6 goals on 12 shots in the preseason and 9 goals on 16 shots in 5 games so far. This kid has weird goal scoring. I doubt it's sustainable. Even then in his first year he shot at 28% over 50 games somehow.

2 more goals on 3 shots last night. 11 goals and 4 assists for 15 points through 6 games. 2.5 ppg almost 2 goals per game. Leads the CHL in scoring.

Did a search and didn't see a thread.

Hugely undersized center listed at 5"9 141. He has 11 goals in 6 games in the QMJHL. He looks to have been 2012 eligible, possibly 2013. Anyone who has seen him play have an opinion or scouting report? Could he eventually play in the NHL, or no chance?

Haven't seen him play yet unfortunately, but he's listed as 6'0" 160lbs on the Q site.

He's a friend of mine. I think that he can get drafted this year in 6th or 7th round. He's a guess to take just like Jean-Gabriel Pageau got drafted in the fifth round by the Ottawa Senators. He won't be a 50-goal scorer but still he can play as a 3rd liner in the NHL and can make it around 23-24 years old.

Finished the game with 3 points. 22 in 9 games now...

David Perron and Tanner Pearson went from being ignored at the draft to being 1st rounders...I don't think this guy is going to go in round 1, but if he keeps scoring at such a high level, could he be a 2nd or 3rd rounder?

Higher then that if he keeps up this pace....The next closest behind him is Grigorenko with 20 points in 9 games.

Has to be a shoe-in for WJC invite in a month or so!

I doubt it. HC hates the Q ;) and he's 5'10, 150. Not HC material... But he isn't slowing down yet, so at some point, yeah he has a good case for an invite.
