Just curious if you guys would do this, and what more you'd give up to get Hart?
Also posted on the Philly board to see what they think should be added.

For reference:
Hart was 48th overall in 2016 and carries a 3.979 cap hit. He has 1 year before he becomes a RFA
Sogaard was 37th overall in 2019 abd carries a 0.925 cap hit. He has 1 year before he becomes a RFA

I could be wrong but I believe Hart could opt to sign a 1-yr deal as a RFA in 2024-25, and become a UFA in July 2026. Similar to when we acquired DeBrincat in that respect.

Ya i would do it.

but i am also extremely high on Levi Merilainen. I also see potential in Hart for the next 2 years where Soogard has a lot of growing before he hits close to that level.

The key here is the add. Honestly, I wouldn't give anything of value as the add in this scenario.

Not sure what else Philly would want from us. They need to rebuild or aggressively retool. They have some anchor contracts in Sanheim and Ristolainen.

We can't afford to give up Grieg, but maybe something like Brannstrom, Thomson and Sogaard for Hart and a draft pick? Brannstrom might price himself out of Ottawa as he continues his progression, Thomson doesn't appear to be in our long term plans either.
