Surprised that he doesn't have his own thread.

Thought he was very good for the Czech's at the U-18's while also serving as the captain of that team. Not the biggest guy but has some grit and offensive ability.

Put up very respectable numbers in a Czech men's league this year.

Rated as the 11th best Euro skater by NHL Central Scouting.

Seems like a top 60 pick to me, if not higher.

A lot of smallish C in this draft. Malgin, Salituro, Speers, Noel, Morrison..... I like all of these guys more than Kase at this point and have them all in the 3rd round, so can't see a top 60.

What a great draft year though.

Yeah I dont think he goes Top 60 but 3rd round isnt out of question. Very hardworking player with some pretty incredible skill. If he was over 6'0'' then that Top 60 would be much more realistic.

That is what I thought about his brother, Ondrej, but he went in the 7th round to the Ducks. Even still, Ondrej hasn't disappointed since then.

Wasn't necessarily a pick prediction...more or less a thought on where he SHOULD be rated based on what I've seen of him.

He has been fantastic early on in the SHL season.

6gp, 2g, 3a, 5p, -1 now.

He has been so impressive. In my book Mora's best player so far in the season.

Has been super gritty, shown his speed, agility and skill while also being very responsible on D.

Finally getting to show the talent he did when facing his own age players and that meant some thought he could be a top ~60 pick early in his draft year.

My favourite player. I dont like these predictions, but I always saw Patrik Elias in him :) . Hopefully, he will make Flyers within two years.

I think he has a good chance to.

If he can get ~25 points in the SHL this year given the team he is playing on and his age that is awesome.

I imagine he will be in AHL next year, and he has the speed, skill, grit and D that means he is not 'top six or bust'... could see him playing a role similar to his brother - though I would argue he is more talented than Ondřej, even if marginally.

For me his realistic NHL upside is ~35-40 point gritty, speedy middle six winger who can put his skill on show at times and make some great plays.

What’s his ceiling? Any chance he hits the NHL?
For sure. Growing up, he was viewed as better than his brother who has carved out a good start to his NHL career. No reason why David can't do the same.

But in Philly, he will have lots of competition as there is no shortage of prospects.

It's going to be a bloodbath trying to make the Flyers bottom 6 in the upcoming years.

The Flyers have done such a good job of drafting in recent years.

Agreed. A lot of "grading" is done by prospect pool and the bad teams will show up after one or two years of trading for picks and picking high. Flyers is one of very few teams who consistently find players with non-lottery picks. Not all have made it yet but guys like Kase, Lindblom and Högberg look good in Europe and have a good chance, all later picks. Obviously very good in NA with Ghost, Sanheim, Konecny, Hart, and so on in positions where you aren't surely getting good players.

How do Flyers fans rate his game? He's now played two seasons in the AHL. His first season he had better stats than this season, but he played six NHL games this season.

Does he figure into a regular role next season in the NHL or is he not good enough for that?

He'd be good enough for bottom 6 on another team, but we just have too many quality players and depth for him to crack the lineup. Especially with Laczynski and Allison now signed.
