Cleveland has one of the worst run defenses in the league. We need to get Singletary involved early and often.
Cleveland is a terribly coached team. Control the clock, and let Singletary do what he does. Play a simple game. The Browns will make their fair share of mistakes.
Stack the box, and force Mayfield to beat us through the air. His o-line is awful, and the coaching is brutal, so it's not uncommon for the line to miss assignments leaving Mayfield open for a freebie hit. Frasier should have a field day with blitz packages. Bend but dont break, and wait for Chubb or Mayfield to turn the ball over.
The Browns do have a good pass rush, so when we do rely on Allen he needs to get the ball out quick. Screens, quick slants and outs, etc...Beasley needs to get the ball a lot.
The Bills are doubted by many. This isnt the best matchup for them, but they can definitely win this through better coaching. The Browns are like the Bills of past; they lose games due an incompetent coach.
I believe some of it is execution by the players, but regardless, they need to be better with a lead and especially the 3rd quarters. This is a game that the Bills would be smart to be more aggressive on defense and blitz more. I am scared that McDermott will always be this way. A ball control, run the clock philosophy doesn't work as well in this NFL. You need to be able to score with big plays often and keep your foot on the gas for all 4 qtrs. For some reason they get a lead and then sit back. When they should be aggressive the whole game.
None of this makes sensea friendly reminder on tie-breakers
Some have commented If Buffalo wins out they win the division---which is true
the tie breaker rules in a division are
1. head to head
2 division record
3 common game record
4 conference record
The first 2 are self explanatory
the 3rd one on common games
the better common games has a worse non common games

NEs are in December. If Buffalo beats Denver to go 2-0 IF NE loses one of those two they have the 3rd tiebreaker.
before their rematch in week 16 Buffalo needs to be tied/ahead with them if NE lost to one of KC/HOU.
If they dont then they need to be just one game behind to take control with a win at NE
I doubt we get past New England. Our schedule gets tough after the Denver game. We got Dal, Bal, Pitt, NE. I'm hoping we go 2-2, but wouldn't be surprised if we lose all of those games.Must win game. Win this game and we are 1 game behind New England. New England has a rough next 4 weeks. New England can very well be 10-3 after their next 4 games. We go 3-1 we would be 9-3. Meaning the week 16 matchup could be the fight for 1st.
It would really be wack if we finish 12-4 and have to play all road games in the playoffs barring us making the 3rd round against the 6th seed/WC 2 seed.
Lets go Bills! Hunt and Chubb will probably tear it up but we can shut down Mayfield and make him turn it over. Mayfield has thrown 1 TD or less every game. He has yet to get multiple td passes in a game. If we can put up 24 points and limit Chubb/Hunt to 2 TDs we should be good.
1st tiebreaker Head to Head- Since we are considering that Buffalo is tied with New England at the end of the season, Head to Head will almost have to be tied. I don't see Buffalo losing to New England the second time and ending up tied with them.None of this makes sense

You understand cooking a turkey is a process ..right?McDermott: Allen has developed and his growth is visible
On cleaning up the run defense:
"Corey [Liuget] is a veteran player with a lot of experience, he spent a number of years in San Diego with the Chargers, now LA, obviously. He moved on this year, early in the year to Oakland and things didn't work out there but we signed him just as a good football player that we think might be able to help us and we'll see how the week unfolds and how he does come game day.
Not exactly a ringing endorsement.
On the team staying healthy throughout the season:
"Terry and Kim [Pegula] both have done a tremendous job of giving us the resources we need to stay out in front and on the cutting edge of trends and a lot of that has to do with their committment with the new facility this past offseason and to get it done in a short amount of time. We feel like we want to be one of the healthiest and happiest teams in and around the NFL.
"That's part of our culture as well, it's what we're driving to become and so our medical staff, our strength and conditioning staff, sports science development team, all have done a heck of a job of communicating and meeting and being collaborative in terms of each and every player's case file, if you will, and making sure that when players come to Buffalo they can become the best versions of themselves."
I wonder if McDermott talks like that around the house? Let's all pitch together and make the best version of that thanksgiving turkey it can be.
