Comrie should absolutely not be in net. Homecoming games have to take a backseat when you pushing for playoffs. Would be unfair to Comrie as well to throw him in against this caliber of opposition when he hasn't played in like 2 weeks.A couple games ago we play the #1 team in the west, and now we play essentially #1B in the west (2 points back with a game in hand).
Definitely a tough road trip. Hoping they learned something from their last matchup with Winnipeg and get at least a point. I wonder if Comrie will be in net?
We outshot them big time, but got goalied. Wouldn’t be surprised to see the same thing happen tonight.Comrie should absolutely not be in net. I forgot .. should we have won last game against Winnipeg? Seems like we deserved to win and we got boned or goaltending let us down... I can't remember
Who loves Comrie outside of his family?I dont understand the Comrie love at all
He's getting waived once Levi is signed. We are not carrying 4 goalies, and Levi likely finishes the year on the Sabres to burn a year off his ELC
I'll be surprised if it is anyone but UPL in net

Anyways, UPL is going to play two of the three remaining games before the break. Might tonight be one of those? It might be. But I think they're giving Comrie the one non-UPL game because he hasn't seen his former team yet -- and that was probably the plan a couple of weeks back before UPL getting sick derailed the plan -- and it's been awhile since he played. UPL will be in net vs Minnesota and Carolina. It'll be fine, though I expect fits from certain corners of the fanbase.
There are essentially 5 teams fighting for 2 WC spots (PIT 56pts, WAS 56pts, BUF 53pts, FL 52pts, and NYI 51pts). The Caps, Panthers, and Islanders have all played 50 games to Buffalo's/PIT's 47 games.I see the teams the sabres are trying to stay ahead of and jump over as being FL, NYI, and PIT. They may ultimately end up in 8th behind WAS, or maybe even 7th.
The reaction from Sabres fans to this news will be completely calm.
